Daniel Uribe, a Colombian citizen, went on a trip to Europe for a few months. In mid-August he came to Israel with some friends who returned home after a few days but Daniel, 22, has disappeared and no one has heard from him for over a month.

Daniel’s older brother, Santiago, arrived in Israel specifically to look for him.

"My family and I are very concerned about him, this situation is very strange," said Santiago in an interview with Yediot Aharonot, "My brother is a good man, and all his life he was a normal, good student, who did not use drugs and alcohol. It is very strange what happened and his cell phone is also turned off."

He said that when his brother "started the trip he told me that if he did not speak to me for a week we should start looking for him. I started to look for him a month ago, at the beginning I spoke with the embassy in Colombia, with Israeli police, with people, I made a media campaign along with my family."

Since coming to Israel, people told Santiago that they had seen his brother in Eilat and Tel Aviv. "I'm not sure if this information is true or not, but it is information. I had to come," he said.

According to the Israel Police Facebook page, Daniel was last seen in Ben Gurion Airport and that was the last time anyone had contact with him

Daniel is described as  1.75 m (5”7), lean physique and carrying a red backpack. Anyone who has information on his whereabouts is asked to call the police at 100 or 03-6104618, or his brother at 054-908-7523
