The Hamas terrorist organization has claimed that it has achieved a deterrent balance of force against the IDF as it continues to expand the missiles, weaponry and terror tunnels in Gaza.

In a festive event on Thursday celebrating the completion of a military course, senior Hamas official Ahmed Bahar, who is the first deputy of the Palestinian Legislative Council chairman, said that all the weapons of the Gaza terror groups are aimed at the "occupation."

The statement may be meant to play down tensions with a local affiliate of Islamic State (ISIS), which has threatened to destroy Hamas. At the same time, Hamas has reportedly been cooperating with ISIS in its fight against Egypt in the Sinai.

Bahar said the terror groups intend to liberate jailed terrorists, Jerusalem, and all of "Palestine."

The Hamas leader said that certain sources are interested in having Hamas fill an additional role, in a hint to activities outside of Israel and possibly to the Sinai where it is accused of smuggling arms to jihadists, but he said the movement is instead only focused on fighting Israel.

"We have reached a point where we are casting fear on our enemies," claimed Bahar. "We've achieved a deterrent balance despite the lack of a balance of power (between the Arab states and Israel - ed.) even without having jets, tanks or ships, but rather dedication and faith."

Addressing the wave of terror attacks in Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem that have accompanied the Muslim month of Ramadan, Husam Badran, a senior Hamas leader, warned about the readiness of Hamas's "armed wing," the Al-Qassam Brigades.

"We support the fighters and emphasize that our people have the natural right to struggle against the occupation through all possible means and patterns," said Badran.
