The IDF has officially closed its field hospital in Nepal, it announced Sunday morning, and held a special closing ceremony before the delegation's departure. 

1,600 patients were treated at the hospital and 85 surgeries were performed. 

Eight Nepalese infants were born: 6 normal births and two caesarean sections. 

The Home Front Command helped strengthen 332 public buildings and conducted safety and survival workshops for 605 people. 

In addition, the IDF delegation to Nepal helped locate and return hundreds of Israelis home and brought the body of 22 year-old Or Assraf back to Israel for burial. 

Nepal is still recovering from an earthquake three weeks ago measuring 7.8 on the Richter scale, and aftershocks 24 hours later measuring 6.7. 

Both killed more than 5,100 people; 11,500 were injured. Damages amount to $3.5 billion.
