California State Assemblyman Travis Allen (R) visited the Samaria community of Barkan on Monday, as well as nearby Rehelim and Itamar, to learn more about the Biblical History of Israel and the Jewish people's longstanding presence in Judea-Samaria.

During the visit, Allen also visited Joseph's Obsertvatory on Mount Gerizim, where he saw Nablus and Balata refugee camp, where the Samaria Regional Council explained to him the "refugee" overcrowding problem.

Acting Head of the Samaria Regional Council Yossi Dagan said that here we understand the real Demographic problems that may occur if a Palestinian state is established - with millions of refugees from Syria, Jordan and Lebanon flocking to a Palestinian state.

Allen was also warmly greeted at a special ceremony in Har Bracha, along with the Samaria Regional Council head Gershon Mesika and his deputy Yossi Dagan.

Allen tasted the wines at the Har Bracha vineyard and winery and was honored with kosher for Passover cakes, as Gershon Mesika and Yossi Dagan explain to him the nature of the Passover and the concept of "Kosher for Passover."

In recent years, the Samaria Regional Council has been working to expose the true reality of Samaria to decision-makers and opinion-makers in the world
.

In this context, Samaria Council leaders have hosted more than 100 MPs, and more than 150 foreign journalists, and brought them on tours of Samaria, as well as the Jordan Valley, to Biblical sites, defense observation posts overlooking Tel Aviv and Ben-Gurion airport, and agricultural areas.

Leaders on these tours have visited from the US, Italy, Sweden, and France, among others.

"I have been here over Mount Gerizim, with the wonderful people of Samaria," Allen stated at the end of the tour. "It is a land of history, land of the Alliance" (between God and the people of Israel), "the people here have rebuilt the country, established wineries, and they are essentially what makes Israel wonderful."
