For the third time in one night, Israeli aircraft struck terror targets in Gaza shortly after 4:00 a.m. Monday morning.

The IDF Spokesperson confirmed the airstrikes, saying they targeted five concealed rocket launchers in northern Gaza.

"The IDF is prepared to defend the citizens of Israel from any threat and will continue to act decisively and as long as necessary until quiet and daily routines are restored,” the statement said.

An earlier airstrike shortly after 2:00 a.m. hit nine targets, including concealed rocket launchers and terrorist centers in central Gaza.

That airstrike came several hours after an Israeli airstrike on Gaza killed two terrorists from the Islamic Jihad group.

The two were identified by the Ma’an news agency as Mazen al-Hadba and Marwan Salim.

The AFP news agency reported that two Palestinian Arabs were killed in the latest Israeli airstrike.

The airstrikes are Israel’s response to the incessant rocket fire from Gaza. A total of 110 rockets have hit Israel over the past five days, with another 40 rockets having been fired from Gaza on Sunday.

At least two more rockets exploded in Sderot on Sunday night. They exploded in open regions, causing no physical injuries or damages.

Prior to that, a rocket from Gaza exploded in an open region in the Shaar Hanegev Regional Council. There were no reports of physical injuries.
