Judea and Samaria Division Commander, Brig. Gen. Tamir Yadai, toured Beit El Tuesday following recent incidents in which residents of a nearby village hurled rocks at Jewish homes.

Yadai met with a girl who was wounded in one of the attacks, and spoke with her and members of the family. He said that the IDF would "refresh its instructions" to soldiers in an effort to put an end to the phenomenon.

He also met with Rabbi Zalman Melamed, who is Beit El's rabbi and Head of the Beit El Yeshiva.

A female resident of Beit El told Arutz Sheva that lately, Arab youths have been daring to draw close to the community's security fence and throw rocks at her and her family members. "In the past, they did not have the courage to approach the community," she explained. "Now they come up to the houses and hurl rocks at people, homes and cars."

A military source told Arutz Sheva that Yadai intends to act forcefully against the rock throwers and stop the "provocation" against Beit El.
