National Union Knesset Member Aryeh Eldad’s petition that “Jordan is Palestine” was presented to 10 Jordanian embassies throughout the world on Tuesday. The embassy in Ramat Gan, adjacent to Tel Aviv, refused to accept it, but MK Eldad warned that Palestinian Arabs in Jordan one day will join the Muslim uprising and overthrow the Amman-based kingdom.

The petitions also were presented to the Jordanian embassies Washington and Moscow, among other world capitals. They call on King Abdullah to declare that Jordan is the home of Palestinian Arabs.

MK Eldad said that the petitions were presented “to remind the world that there already is a Palestinian stated in Jordan and there is no need for an additional one in the heart of the Land of Israel.”

He said that Jordan’s refusal to accept the petition, an act he expected, is “like someone refusing to look in the mirror.” He explained, "Jordan knows very well that 80 percent of Jordanian citizens are Palestinian Arabs. The day they decide to go the street and stage a revolution, the kingdom will change into the home of Palestinians.”

MK Eldad said the submissions of the petitions are linked to the visit of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to the United States., where he spoke of a Palestinian Authority in Judea and Samaria if there are “defensible borders.”

He  that the petitions “offer an alternative to the plan of Prime Minister Netanyahu, U.S. President Barack Obama, Opposition leader Tzipi Livni and the Quartet to create a Palestinian Authority state in Judea and Samaria and endanger the very existence of Israel.”
