IAF Strikes Terrorist Smuggler Tunnels in Gaza
The Israel Air Force was very busy overnight attacking numerous terrorist tunnel targets in Gaza. The fighter pilots destroyed one tunnel in northern Gaza, and three more in the southern part of the region.
In addition, a Hamas post in the Zeitoun neighborhood of Gaza City, belonging to its Izz a-Din al-Qassam military wing, was also bombed.
Direct hits were confirmed by military sources and all aircraft returned safely to base. Local Gaza sources said there were no casualties.
The air strike came in retaliation for the terrorist firing of an anti-tank missile at Israeli territory on Wednesday. No one was injured and no damage was reported.
A rocket attack on the Ashkelon coastal region was launched by Gaza terrorists on Monday. The rocket exploded in an open area, injuring no one and causing no damage.
“The IDF will not allow the Israeli southern communities to continue living under constant threat,” said the IDF Spokesperson in a statement. “We will continue to respond with determination to any attempt to use terror against the citizens of Israel. The IDF holds the Hamas terrorist organization solely responsible for any terrorist activity emanating from the Gaza Strip.”
