An Arab lynch mob attacked Lt.-Col. (res.) Meir Indor, a nationally known figure who heads terror victims' group Almagor, and his wife Batsheva, last Wednesday morning.
Meir and Bathsheva, who was driving, had attended prayer sessions near the Temple Mount after all-night study sessions for Hoshana Raba, the seventh day of Sukkot. On the main road between the Mount of Olives and Mount Scopus, traffic came to a standstill.
Indor had seen suspicious behavior by Arabs who were congregating nearby, and who seemed to be holding things behind their backs. Then a large rock crashed through a back window, and was followed by numerous other rocks, including one that hit Indor in the head, wounding him. The Indors managed to escape when a car in front of them finally moved, and made it possible for them to maneuver out of the traffic jam and escape.
Hundreds of Arabs were milling about and none of them seemed to be concerned by the goings-on, Indor said.
