Ground soldiers prevented a terrorist attack early Tuesday morning and killed four terrorists who tried to plant roadside bombs at the separation-security barrier and infiltrate into the Western Negev. Initial reports said that only one terrorist was dead and that the others were wounded.
All of the soldiers returned to their base safely.
An army lookout post spotted the cell at the area of Kisufim, in the Western Negev. At least one of the terrorists belonged to the Islamic Jihad, according to the terrorist organization, which said two weeks ago that it would honor a Hamas request to stop attacking Israel.
The counter terrorist action came comes two weeks after Hamas killed an IDF officer and a soldier on a mission against a terrorist action that might have been an ambush.
