Minister of Religious Services Yaakov Margi (Shas) took part Monday in welcoming 108 orphaned boys from all over Israel into the performance of Torah commandments. In an emotional Bar Mitzvah celebration at the Western Wall of the Temple Mount, the boys were presented with tallit (prayer shawl) and tefillin (phylacteries), as well as a certificate of Bar Mitzvah.

The event was organized as in previous years by the Colel Chabad, with help from the Western Wall Heritage Foundation.

The proud participants were also able to take part in special program to learn to read from Torah scrolls and other Jewish law classes which helped them fully enjoy their special day.
