Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s freeze on building by Jews n Judea and Samaria has left at least one family’s life savings “on ice” after it paid a contractor for a new home that it now cannot build. “All my savings are there [with the contractor], Oren Landau told Israel National News.
Married with three children, the Landaus live in a small housing unit in northern Samaria. Oren and his wife decided to build a home in a community east of Kfar Saba, located on the northern edge of metropolitan Kfar Saba.
"We're stuck today with three children in a small housing unit up north" explains Oren. "We want to build our home in this area, but the latest developments are limiting us. I really hope someone will hear us and do something. We spent all our savings in the development of the land… There are some people in the project who made it on time, and are already building – I, unfortunately, didn't make it on time, and this harms us – all my savings are there!"
In an Israel National News video, he spoke about his situation, shared by many buyers who are in the initial stages of building a home in Judea and Samaria.
