Young boys and girls from all over Israel, from observant and non-observant education institutions, came to Efrat, just south of Jerusalem, to participate in the second annual Social-Youth-Film-Festival. The youth gathered in late March to learn about the world of cinema and present their own works of art.
The festival was atteneded by a few celebrities, including the creators and stars of the “Srugim” TV series. “Srugim” is Hebrew for “knitted,” and refers to the knitted yarmulkas worn by national religious males. The series deals with the difficulties and experiences of the observant singles scene in Jerusalem.
