Victims of Palestinian Terror to Present Minister of Defense with an Award for Combating Terror

(IsraelNN.com) At 20:00 last night, the Israeli civil rights organization, Shurat HaDin - Israel Law Center, presented Minister of Defense Shaul Mofaz with an award for combating terrorism.

The award was presented on behalf of the victims of Palestinian terror attacks in Israel.

The presentation took place at the Sheraton Plaza Hotel on King George Street in Jerusalem in the Yemin Moshe Hall.

The award ceremony was held in conjunction with Shurat HaDin's
"Ultimate Mission to Israel." The Mission has brought more than 75 doctors, lawyers and other professionals from around the world for an eight day fact-finding conference on the realities of Palestinian terror.

Shurat HaDin is leading the struggle to utilize the courts worldwide to combat terrorism by commencing civil actions against the terrorist organizations, their leaders and financial patrons.

Shurat HaDin Director, Nitsana Darshan-Leitner, was joined in making the presentation by the Dayan family whose son, Moti Dayan z"l, was murdered along with his cousin in Tul Karem at the beginning of the Intifada in October 2000. The pair had entered the Palestinian town to purchase decorations for their Tel Aviv restaurant called "Yuppies." They were brutally killed in the city's center by a gang of masked Fatah Tanzim gunmen. The Dayan family has filed a civil action against the Palestinian Authority and Yasser Arafat for their responsibility in the murders.
