Today, the Intelligence and Secret Services Subcommittee of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee is set to discuss the request of the government to extend the period during which the ISA is permitted to make use of citizens' cell phone data in order to identify potential coronavirus transmissions within the country.
The program is otherwise set to expire tomorrow; the government wishes to extend it until May 7.
