Fox News reported that President Trump retweeted a call for the firing of the country's top disease expert Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.

Fauci was probed about a CNN report and said earlier preventive measures could have saved additional lives in the fight against the coronavirus.

Trump called the report 'Fake News' and is apparently at odds with Fauci after the doctor had, himself, called on people to not "change what [they were] doing day-to-day" in a February 29 interview.
