The Pentagon announced on Monday that an Army National Guardsman from New Jersey died over the weekend after testing positive for coronavirus.
Army Capt. Douglas Linn Hickok, a physician assistant originally from Jackson, N.J., died on Saturday in Pennsylvania after having been hospitalized since March 21. He becomes the first US service member to die from COVID-19.
