A labor protest has been announced at the Phoenicia factory in the north of the country, after the company's management stated its intention to close the northern branch of the factory and make its 300 employees redundant.
The factory is located in the Tziporit industrial zone, and is the only factory in the country that produces glass plate for the local market and for export. The factory has been operating for over 85 years. Around eight years ago, it was acquired by the Fortissimo Investment Fund.
