Because of the coronavirus crisis and the Knesset's paralysis, the Blue and White Party is preparing to ask President Reuven Rivlin to extend the mandate given to Benny Gantz to form a government by another 14 days, according to Galei Tzahal radio.
The president has tended not to grant extensions, but Blue and White members will claim, if necessary, that the circumstances have changed substantially, mainly because of the Knesset's paralysis under the pretext of he coronavirus.
