About 200 prisoners are being evacuated from the Saharonim detention facility for African asylum seekers and scattered among the prison facilities across the country.
The prison will be prepared to absorb prisoners carrying the coronavirus if any are so diagnosed in the future. There are currently no prisoners diagnosed with the virus.
