Following a assessment of the situation on Tuesday morning in the Jerusalem municipality with the Israel Police and the Health Ministry, it was decided to cancel the central Purim celebrations that were expected to take place in the center of the city.
They included a Tuesday-evening Purim party at the Mahane Yehuda open-air market and Wednesday events for the whole family at the municipality in Safra Square via Jaffa Street to Mahane Yehuda, as well as the huge street party between Nissim Behar and Agripas in the Nahlaot neighborhood.
