Against the backdrop of the ongoing fight between the management of the Firefighting Authority and the workers' committee, the State Comptroller's Office has announced the opening of a probe after firefighters were absent from a police exercise to deal with hazardous materials, according to the Calcalist financial publication.
The firefighters responded, "We hope that the shortage of personnel and fire stations will also be checked."
