Yisrael Beyteinu Chairman MK Avigdor Liberman filed a petition with the Supreme Court this morning against the Chief Rabbi of Israel and the President of the Chief Rabbinate Council Rabbi Yitzchak Yosef.

MK Liberman petitioned Supreme Court to issue a conditional order instructing Justice Minister Amir Ohana to state and explain why so far, the Dayanim Committee has not convened to discuss terminating Chief Rabbi Yitzhak Yosef's tenure and why no complaint has been filed against him with the Disciplinary Tribunal in light of his remarks about the immigrant public from the former Soviet Union in early January.
