The Gaza-based terror group Hamas has vowed to stop launching rockets and balloon bombs into Israeli territory, a security official said Thursday night.
"Hamas delivered messages to Israel, according to which," the official said, "the group has decided to unilaterally cease the launching of rockets and balloon [bombs] towards Israel."
"So long as the quiet is maintained, Israel will restore the 15-mile fishing area" off the Gaza coast, "and will restore the 500 work permits which were cut. We are skeptical, but we'll give it a try, to restore balance to the Gaza frontier."
