The Cave of the Patriarchs, burial site of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Sara, Rebecca, and Leah, and located adjacent to Hebron, should be included in areas over which sovereignty will be applied as part of any such wide-ranging action on the part of the government. This was the sentiment expressed by Rabbi Hillel Horowitz, head of the Hebron Municipal Council. Horowitz became emotional as he sited the broad consensus in the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee of the Knesset regarding the necessity of securing access to the Cave of the Patriarchs.
