(AFP) A suicide attack targeting a military academy in the Afghan capital Kabul killed at least five people early Tuesday.
A security source speaking on the condition of anonymity told AFP that the attacker was on foot when he targeted a vehicle near a checkpoint as it was entering the Marshal Fahim military academy, where the country's security officers are trained. The Defense Ministry said five people were killed and at least six wounded in the attack, while the Interior Ministry said six people - two civilians and four military personnel - died after the suicide bomber detonated the device. A spokesman said 12 others were wounded. No group immediately claimed to be behind the attack.
