MK Keti Sheetrit (Likud), among the initiators of the meeting in the security and foreign affairs committee for accessibility to the Cave of the Patriarchs, praised the decision of the civil administration.
"I came out encouraged by the unanimous desire of the committee members regarding accessibility at the Cave of the Patriarchs. We were promised by the head of the civil administration that we would merit to see an elevator and path for people with disabilities within less than a year. Cave accessibility is a humanitarian matter which had continued for over 20 years and now is close to conclusion. I will continue to accompany the issue until accessibility is in place in practice."
