The Israel Electric Company (IEC) has increased its field staff and customer service representatives in preparation for what forecasters say will be a stormy weekend, Maariv reported.
Back-up generators have been moved to high places and the IEC is preparing the necessary equipment to deal with possible outages.
The IEC stresses that there is no guarantee that the electricity grid will remain unharmed, and that the public must prepare for possible power outages.
