Veteran journalist Yaakov Ahimeir will receive the 5780/2020 Jerusalem Prize for fairness in reporting at the B'Sheva weekly's 17th annual Jerusalem Conference, to be held February 24th and 25th at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.
Twelve Jerusalem Prizes will be awarded at the conference. A letter sent to Ahimeir cited him for being "the soundtrack accompanying the people of Israel in Israeli media for many yearsard the honorary signal on the soundtrack accompanying the Israeli media for many years and unforgettable moments, and as the compass of public broadcasting in honesty, truth and level headedness."
