The Religious Kibbutz Movement welcomed Defense Minister Naftali Bennett's decision this morning to halt agricultural imports from the Palestinian Authority until it stops the boycott of calves and cattle imports from Israel.
Religious Kibbutz Movement Secretary Amitai Porat said: "For several months the cattle breeders have been in real distress. The Defense Minister did well to choose the tools available to him to work for the farmers."
Porat added, "We favor trade with the PA and oppose boycotts. At the same time as farmers among us are suffering from a boycott it is proper for us all to stand together for their sake. I'm glad for the attentive ear we found with Minister Bennett."
