Professor Leonid Eidelman, president of the World Medical Association and former president of the Israel Medical Association, warned on Thursday against the spread of the coronavirus to Israel.
Interviewed by Galei Tzahal radio, Eidelman said, "We should be worried. In our estimation, a virus which will leading to a very large mortality will soon spread around the world, similar to the Spanish flu of 1918, which killed tens of millions of people."
