Yisrael Beyteinu Chairman Avigdor Liberman attacked Prime Minister Netanyahu for his intention to apply sovereignty in the Jordan Valley.
"The Jordan Valley interests you like a garlic peel. The only thing that interests you is immunity. But, beyond immunity and all the spins, there's a country here," he said.
"If applying sovereignty is so important and urgent for you, I have a suggestion for you: Either make a copy of the law that Yisrael Beyteinu submitted and pass it in one day in three readings, as Menachem Begin passed the Golan Heights Law in his time, or if it's really urgent to you, pass an executive order and have it ratified by the Knesset. At the same time, I urge you to apply sovereignty to Ma'aleh Adumim, Gush Etzion, Givat Ze'ev, and Ariel, and perhaps finally to also remove Khan al-Ahmar and Susya. Passing the law only in first reading is no more than cheap spin."
