Following the decision of Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein to convene the Knesset plenum to discuss the establishment of a committee that will discuss Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's request for immunity from prosecution on corruption charges, Chairman Miki Zohar of the Likud Knesset faction is initiating the absence of all members of the right-wing bloc from the plenum during the vote, according to Yisrael Hayom.

Zohar said he has already spoken to members of the right-wing bloc and obtained their approval, including the Yamina Party. As part of this move, Zohar is trying to present the vote as one-sided, in which only the opposition parties, the Arab Knesset members and Edelstein himself will participate.
