Deputy mayors, branch chairmen, and members of the Jewish Home Central Committee on Tuesday evening wrote a letter to party chairman Rabbi Rafi Peretz and director-general Nir Orbach, demanding that journalist Sarah Beck not be reserved a spot on the party slate for the upcoming election.
The activists said that at the Central Committee gathering on Monday evening, it was promised that Rabbi Peretz was giving up the right to reserve spots on the list conferred on him by the party's constitution, but "not 24 hours passed, and Rabbi Peretz blatantly broke his promise.”
