Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein is refusing a Blue-and-White Party request to convene the Knesset plenum this week to approve the establishment of a committee to discuss requests by Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and former welfare minister Haim Katz for immunity from corruption charges, according to public radio.
Edelstein intends to wait at least until next week, as he is required to convene the plenum "within a reasonable period of time."
