Brigadier General Amir Vadmani, the head of the Israel Defense Force's Personnel Planning Division, met with Member of Knesset Elazar Stern (Blue and White) 10 days ago in Tel Aviv, in contravention of an order requiring prior approval from the IDF chief of staff before an officer's meeting with a politician, according to Channel 11 News.
Also present was businessman David Hagar, a witness for the committee appointed by the chief of staff in the case of forged haredi-religious recruiting data. Stern, former head of the IDF Personnel Branch, is a member of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, which is also checking the recruitment data forgery. Vadmani was Stern's office chief in the past. The IDF Spokesperson said, "The meeting in question was a long-standing mutual acquaintance between the two. No professional issues were discussed at the meeting."
