In 2017, the number of haredi-religious soldiers was falsified to a large extent, counting non-Jewish soldiers and religious girls as haredi soldiers, according to Galei Tzahal radio.
The report also alleged problematic conduct by nonprofits which had a clear economic interest in increasing the number of haredim, and that the Israel Defense Forces intend to ask the police to investigate these civilian entities.
