The official value of the shekel declined an average of .041 percent on Monday in mixed trading against the featured currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list.

The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.47, down .086 percent from Friday, while the Euro rose .169 percent to 3.8593 shekels, and the pound sterling was set at 4.4996 shekels, down .816 percent. The pound's drop was against expectations of an interest-rate cut by the Bank of England.
