Buckingham Palace responds to the announcement of Prince Harry and his wife Megan that they wish to give up their status in the royal house.
"The discussions with the Duke and the Duchess are at an early stage. We understand their desire to adopt a different way of life. However, the issue is complex and will take time to find the solution that will please all parties," reads the response.
