Two police officers from the southern Israeli town of Sderot were indicted Monday on charges of assault an obstruction of justice.

According to the indictment, two months ago, the accused responded to an incident in a dormitory at a school for at-risk teenage girls.

After one girl cursed the officers, one of the two police officers slapped her and hit her in the head.

The second officer then falsified a report about the incident, concealing the first officer's actions.
