Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Minister of Energy Yuval Steinitz are expected to sign a tripartite agreement in Greece on Thursday, which will also include Cyprus and aims to prepare the ground for gas exports to Europe.
Under the agreement, Israel and Cyprus will jointly export gas found in their territorial waters through Greece to Italy - and from there the gas should reach different points in Europe. Italy will not attend Thursday's summit, but is expected to sign the agreement later.
