Minister of the Environmental Protection, Zeev Elkin (Likud), announced shortly that the study that took place today as part of the acceleration process for the Leviathan gas rig has ended, noting "there is no unacceptable increase in emissions."
"Most of the gas that the State of Israel has been using already is from Leviathan," Elkin added, "this is a huge achievement for the State of Israel that is becoming a gas power and also an environmental achievement in the process of giving up coal for the environment and residents' health."
