US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo spoke on Monday with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres regarding the recent US attacks in Iraq.
“The Secretary reiterated that defensive actions taken by the United States in response were aimed at deterring Iran. Secretary Pompeo agreed to stay in close communication with UN Secretary-General Guterres,” said a statement from the State Department.
