The Ministry of Labor and Welfare has published data on treatment for addiction in 2018 to mark the end of the month devoted to the fight against alcohol and other drugs and the eve of 2020.
The data show that 15,067 people were treated in the treatment centers and communities (11,850 men and 3,217 women). This is a slight increase in the number of patients compared to previous years - 14,826 in 2017 and 14,093 in 2016. The most common addictions were to alcohol , cannabis, opiates such as heroin and morphine, cocaine and cheap stimulants.
