Roughly half a million people visited the Western Wall in Jerusalem during the Hanukkah festival, according to the Western Wall Heritage Foundation.
"This year, the Hanukkah holiday season was more crowded than in previous years. It is touching to see the Jewish people taking the effort, even in the rain and cold, to visit Jerusalem and come light candles in the place closest to where the miracle of the oil occurred," the Foundation said.
