New Right Chairwoman MK Ayelet Shaked responded to the stabbing incident in a Monsey, New York rabbi's home.
"Unfortunately, with 2020 at our doorstep, anti-Semitic acts against Jews are rising in the U.S., Europe and the rest of the world, just because they are Jews. The shocking stabbing happened at a Hanukkah candle lighting. This holiday is a reminder of our Jewish history and identity.
"I send my wishes to the wounded and their families. I urge the U.S. government to intensify the punishment for acts of anti-Semitism of all kinds and to increase education for tolerance and acceptance of others in the education system."
