Deputy Health Minister and United Torah Judaism MK Ya'akov Litzman said the attack in Monsey, New York in the midst of Hanukkah candle lighting arouses astonishment in the Jewish world. "It joins a series of recent, horrific anti-Semitism cases in the U.S. and around the world.
"It's shocking to see again and again innocent innocent people being harmed and persecuted only for being Jewish. This is a terrible situation for leaders of the United States and the authorities worldwide to put an end to the malignant affliction. We pray for the wounded to be healed and we strengthen the community in Monsey and their families,” Litzman added.
