Haredi judge writes letter in Torah Scroll of People of Israel

Rachel “Ruchie” Freier, the first female hasidic judge in the US, and her husband Rabbi David Freier, were given the honor of writing a letter in the Sefer Torah for Am Yisrael (lit. The Torah Scroll of the People of Israel), a project initiated by Rabbi David Avraham Pressman.

So far, more than 100,000 Jews have participated in the venture. These include MKs, mayors, rabbis, actors, singers, IDF soldiers, judges, prisoners, children and youth. Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu recently wrote a letter in the scroll.
