A resident of the Shuafat refugee camp in northern Jerusalem was arrested on Wednesday night on suspicion of possession of weapons.
The 30-year-old suspect tried unsuccessfully to escape the police, and after a short chase on foot, he was arrested. During the escape attempt, the suspect threw a bag that was seized by the police, which contained a gun, ammunition and thousands of shekels in cash.
