The Electricity Authority has decided to lower electricity rates by 4.13 percent, as of January 1st, according to Channel 13 News.
The new rate will be 53 agorot per kilowatt hour. The Authority cited the fall in coal prices, the sale of the Alon Tavor power plant and the anticipated entry of the Leviathan natural-gas reservoir into operations.
